• What I learned from my research of alcohol abuse is that alcohol abuse can effect people that don't even drink. Alcohol abuse is a social problem because it effects everyone.
• Alcohol can cause physical, economic, psychological  and personal harm to heavy drinkers and their family members. 
• The people that struggle the most with poverty are children.
• Poverty and economic inequality causes almost   22,000 deaths in children per day because of malnutrition. 
• Poverty is associated with crime because people that are poor cannot afford necessities like food and clothing so they resort to stealing. 
• Gun violence in the United States happens so often that it has brought up debates on whether citizens should be able to legally own firearms as the second amendment states. 
• Every year in the U.S about 100,000 citizens are wounded or killed by gun shots.  
• Foreign exchange students are hesitant to come to the U.S because they are afraid of gun violence.
